Luxembourg’s National Museum of History and Art (MNHA) has announced a conference in Luxembourgish on the subject “From Dr. No to Goldeneye - the representation of the Cold War in James Bond films” which will take place on Thursday 22 September from 18:00.

The conference will be hosted by Yves Steichen, a historian from the film department of the National Audio-visual Centre, and forms part of the museum’s temporary exhibition “The Cold War in Luxembourg, 1947-1999”, which has been extended to 15 January.

Entry is free.

Another conference in Luxembourgish at the museum is on the subject of “The Luxembourgish Communist Party (PCL) in the Government of National Union (1945-1947): a ‘golden age’ for Luxembourgish communists”. This event will take place on 13 October from 18:00 and will be hosted by the historian Stéphanie Kovacs.
