The consortium 'Education, Un Défi Pour Tous!' will be holding a special concert on Saturday 24 October 2015 at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg.

The concert, providing a performance from group 'Ellika Solo Rafael', is the result of a collaboration between six NGOs in Luxembourg, with the aim of highlighting the challenges of providing quality education for everyone in developing countries.

The organisations include OTM Haiti, Unity Foundation, SOS Sahel, CSI Lëtzebuerg, Bridderlech Deelen and SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde, the latter of which recently developed another initiative in the Grand Duchy to highlight this particular issue in Nepal.

'Education, Un Défi Pour Tous!' intends to outline the obstacles of the second Millenium Development Goal (MDG), which pledges to 'Achieve universal primary education for all'. 59 million children in developing regions who are old enough to enroll in school are thought to be currently without education, indicating that the goal is still far from being reached.

The October concert is hoped to provide an important opportunity to develop awareness of the issues in the education sector, both in terms of quality and availability to all.

Tickets cost €12, and can be purchased at www.luxembourg-ticket.lu .
