Recorder player Lea Sobbe will perform at the Abbaye de Neumunster, as part of the Neimënster "springboard" cycle, on Tuesday 28 March 2017, starting at 20:00.

Trier-born musician Lea Sobbe is the next guest artist of the Neimënster "springboard" cycle, which opens its doors this season to students who are winners of the superior division of the Conservatoire of the Ville de Luxembourg.

After having studied with Thomas Kuegler at the Hochschule für Musik Saar (Germany) and at the Conservatoire of the Ville de Luxembourg, where she recently obtained her Superior Diploma with the highest distinction, Lea Sobbe is currently studying with Conrad Steinmann at the prestigious Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Switzerland).

The young recorder player, born in 1994, has also taken part in masterclasses by Dorothee Oberlinger and Hugo Reyne, to name but a few, and has already won several national and international competitions including Jugend musiziert, Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben (2012) and NDR Kulturpreis (2013).

Next Tuesday marks her solo debut at the Abbaye, accompanied by Sergio Flores on the harpsichord, in several Baroque and classical masterpieces by, among others, Giulio Caccini, Nicola Matteis, and Georg Philipp Telemann.

Entry is free of charge.
