The 24th Fete de la Musique in Dudelange kicks into gear on 17 June, with a long line-up of more than 80 bands and artists including Puggy, Mighty Oaks, Avec, Van Holzen, Glass Peaks, Lion Lion, Byron, and local artists such as Serge Tonnar & Legotrip, Läb, Tuys, Go By Brooks, Zero Point Five, Benny & The Bugs, District 7, and plenty more for a massive series of free concerts in the streets.

The festival in Dudelange has grown enormously over the years, embracing a wide range of musical styles from electro to rock, folk, pop and indie, and even the Amis de l’Orgue and the organ class of the Luxembourg City Conservatoire who will perform a prelude at the Church of St Martin on Friday 16 June.

On Saturday, twelve open-air stages and cafés will play host to the musicians, including a new Folk & Blues stage where Reluctant Dragon, Ramblin’ South, Ghosttown Company, Heavy Petrol and Irina Holzinger form part of the line-up. The organisers are thrilled with the signing of Dull Knife for the festival, a grunge-blues band formed by two members of The Pretty Things.

The Parc Stage at Emile Mayrisch Park is entirely dedicated to children's groups of local and neighbouring brass bands, as well as the Regional Music School. A musical rally to be held between 15:00 and 18:00 is sure to be a hit with the youngest kids.

Young artists too get their own platform, on the Youth Stage, which will be stage-managed by Dudelange Youth Centre in collaboration with SNJ. On the line-up here are Thu & Mariana, Double Trouble, Tiffanie Joyce, Johnny Go Nuts, Insert Bandname, Epicure, The Trappers, Mind Rebellion, The Choppy Bumpy Peachs, and as always, the Blues Gangsters.

The Why Not Stage is looking forward to an eclectic line-up, dedicated to the regional music school, followed by Kevin Heinen Band, Alien Pitch Cat, Corona Dark, Transfensch, District 7, Sublind, Byron and Glass Peaks from the UK.

On the Planet Stage on Place Nelson Mandela, fans will find Zero Point Five, Lion Lion, Serge Tonnar & Legotrip, as well as Van Holzen, Germany’s rock discovery of the year who blend influences such as Deftones, Tool, Kyuss, Biffy Clyro and their own murderous riffs, sound wall and aggressive lyrics. Also on stage, Avec bring their unforgteable dark melancholy sound.

The Living Tomorrow, Duke’s and Syndicate Beat Stages will be blasting out lounge, drum’n’bass, world beats and techno for the day.

And finally, the Main Stage will host Go By Brooks, Benny & The Bugs, Tuys, De Läb, Mighty Oaks with their harmonious folk-pop sound, and Puggy for their third outing at the festival.

And after 01:00, the cafés of Dudelange will continue their celebrations of everything that music is for.
