Luxembourg jazz band, Organic Trio, has shot to the top of the US jazz charts, propelled to second place with their new album Satun's Spell.

Launched a month ago at Jazz Family, the album has been described as a must by French radio station TSF Jazz, while Republic of Jazz commended its ability to create a sound environment characterised by sophisticated harmonies and dynamics that will remind listeners of the sounds of jazz legends such as Tony Williams or Larry Young.

"Nevertheless," Republic of Jazz continued, "with the classic formation of Hammond B3, guitar and drims, but with a totally innovative approach to the composition concept, Organic Trio has been able to make the difference and to sound as no other trio did it before."

Organic Trio will be playing from the album in a tour of France and Germany this March, including on 11 March at the Duc des Lombards in Paris.
