Rockhal has announced that Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals will perform a concert on Friday 21 October 2016 (Main Hall) at their venue in Esch-Belval; doors open at 19:00.
For the 2016 Call It What It is World Tour, Ben Harper will be accompanied by the Innocent Criminals for the first time in seven years and will return to the Grand Duchy for a live performance at the Rockhal.
“Making music again with the Innocent Criminals has been a priority for a while now," Harper told Rolling Stone last year. "It was time.”
For the reunion, Ben Harper had more in mind than simply revisiting the group's prodigious collection of hits. In fact, he had been quietly amassing material for a new record, Call It What It Is. The result is an incisive, bold, poetic statement that could only come from these long-time band mates and close collaborators, one of popular music’s most essential, cohesive and dynamic ensembles.
