The Luxembourg band Strysles has recorded its debut EP comprising four tracks and is holding its release party on Saturday 23 April 2016 at 21:00 at Café "Beim Hollänner" in Wickrange.

founded in 2010, “Strysles” is a rock band from Southern Luxembourg, gathering some experienced musicians passionate about modern rock music. After weeks and months of work and with a clear goal in mind, Strysles hit the studio in November 2015 to finally release their first EP with 4 tracks called “Tic Tac“. At the Launch Party, rock band “The Filthy Broke Billionaires”, who also released their first EP on 15 January at Rockhal, will climb on stage to fire up the audience.

Around 2010, guitarist David Lemmer had the idea to start a new musical adventure after years of playing in cover bands. Together with guitarist/singer Dan Mangiulli and drummer Ben Kehl, they composed the first couple of songs. The sound is influenced by their idols like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Audioslave, Stereophonics, Alter Bridge just to name a few. A little bit later, Sacha Heck, originally a keyboarder, decided to switch instruments and join the band as a bassist - he also plays with Go By Brooks.

During the last years, Strysles has played a number of concerts in Luxembourg including the birthday concert of “Rockbox” together with “PornQueen”, some café gigs together with friends like “IRINA”, “Grey Station” and “The Barcodes”. In November 2013 Strysles organised a big charity event for the Philippines together with “The Neverminds”, “Tuys” and “IRINA” which was a great experience.

Strysles felt the need to renew in the beginning of 2015. What about a new voice? So that Dan could concentrate more on his guitar parts? Not easy to find, but very soon, Elena Kramdi-Drvosanova stepped into the game. Originating from Macedonia, rocker, adventurer, songwriter and humorous person, she relocated to Luxembourg in 2015 and joined the band

The Name

One day they were sitting together, thinking about a name for the band. It happened that someone brought some “Streisel” to the rehearsal that day, those awesome little pudding-stuffed pastries with a crumbly topping. Yeahhh, there it was right in front of them. It’s just their orthographic deficiency that led to the unusual spelling...
