Encouraging entrepreneurship among the young is the goal behind a new collaboration between web-agency Luxembourg Lightbulb and the non-profit organisation Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg.
The two organisations have signed up for a three-year partnership that they hope will enhance the framework for inspiring the young to innovate, create, take initiatives and be responsible.
“Five years ago we discovered the initiative and programmes of Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg. We then invested as volunteers in the Fit For Life program because we believe it is important to prepare young people for their future,” explained Marc Marchal, founder and associate director of Lightbulb.
The agency has since gone on to support the organisation with the creation and development of tools to facilitate their day-to-day work and management.
Founded in 2005, Jonk Entrepreneuren was created in order to encourage the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of Luxembourg’s young people and introduce them to professional life. In 2015 and 2016, the non-profit reached more than 10,000 young people and 400 volunteers through its ten programs in different levels of education.
Since their first collaboration with the organisation, Lightbulb’s engagement has grown. “The decision to become a gold sponsor was an obvious one for us,” said Mr Marchal.
"We are obviously very happy and honoured to be able to associate Lightbulb with our initiative,” said Stéphanie Damgé, director of Jonk Entrepreneuren.
“I am convinced that it is important that the economic and educational worlds work more together and it is through partnerships such as this that we can offer quality programs to today's young people and better prepare them for the future; their future.”
