The Gaston Diderich primary school in Belair is holding its second Sponsored Run on 14 June, organised by the School Committee in collaboration with the Education Department of the City of Luxembourg and Association of Parents of Students.
Some 400 students from cycles 1 to 4 of the Gaston Diderich School are taking part in the event, each of whom is required to find sponsors for the student’s participation in the 800 metre run through Gaston Diderich Avenue, Charles Arendt Street and Amsterdam Street.
At the end of the event the pupils will collect the amount due to them which will be given to an association organised and supported by a school teacher to build a school in the village of Bimbo in the Central African Republic.
