The Caritas Luxembourg stand selling rosaries and objects of worship at the Oktavmäertchen last May raised €8,600 for children in need in Luxembourg.
In Luxembourg, one in four children is likely to become poor and remain poor. In response, Caritas Luxembourg has been working on a number of fronts for many years, including combatting school drop-outs to prevent young people from social exclusion, supporting families in their educational role, and helping to build strong family ties.
Yesterday afternoon, Caritas Luxembourg President Marie-Josée Jacobs thanked the volunteers who took turns at the stand for their faithful commitment and support for children in need.
