It's that time of the year again – the search is on for young women to enter the 2016 Luxembourg Rose, along with celebrating the 15th Luxembourg Rose Ball.
To enter you must meet the following criteria:-
a) Be 18 years of age by 1 January 2016 and will not have reached your 28th birthday on or prior to 1 September 2016.
b) Be unmarried or never been married.
c) Be born in Ireland, be an Irish citizen or be of Irish origin by virtue of one of your ancestors having been born in Ireland.
d) Be living in the region you wish to represent for a minimum of one year,
e) Never have previously represented any Centre as a Rose in the Regional Festival or International Rose of Tralee Selection.
f) Be available for Rose Selection events and if selected be available for the Regional Festival and International Festival events.

An information evening is being held in The Tube Bar in Luxembourg city from 19:30 - 21:30, so anyone interested in entering can come along and find out what is entailed in
the Luxembourg Rose experience. With the 2010 Rose Clare McGing, 2012 Rose Nicola McEvoy, 2014 Rose Niamh Bergin, and 2015 Rose Aedammair NÍ Chiardha on the 2015 / 2016 Rose Committee, there is no shortage of advice on hand!
And for those of you who don not meet the entry criteria for the 2016 Luxembourg Rose, they also have a competition for you to enter – the “Refer a Rose” initiative. You can enter and be in with a chance of winning a ticket to the 2016 Rose Ball. If you know someone who is eligible to enter the 2016 Luxembourg Rose, but she may need a little gentle persuasion from her friends to sign up, contact the Rose committee at email: luxembourgrose@yahoo.com with that girl's name and, if she enters the 2016 Luxembourg Rose, you could win a ticket to the Rose Ball on Saturday 12 March 2016. So start your look out for Roses, and “Refer a Rose” - the Rose Cimmittee is waiting to hear from you !

Changes to the International Festival in 2016
The Regional Festival will no longer take place, therefore, the Rose that will be selected as the 2016 Luxembourg Rose will be going straight to Tralee for the International Rose of Tralee Festival along with all the other Roses from approximately 70 Rose centres worldwide.
The Rose Tour & International Festival will take place from Friday 12 August ending with the two live TV nights on Monday and Tuesday, 22 and 23 August 2016, where one Rose will be named the 2016 International Rose of Tralee.
