The Irish Club of Luxembourg (ICL) held their annual Children's Christmas Party at the Blackstuff in Luxembourg-Pulvermuhle on Sunday afternoon.

Around 25 young children had been chauffeured by their parents to the Irish pub, which had been transformed by members of the ICL committee and other volunteers. With a blazing and roaring fire and bar-side conversation keeping the parents entertained, including a live football match on the tv, it was Pascale Clement the magician who had his young charges spellbound with a sequence of tricks and illusions, for almost an hour.

After getting their fill of snacks, sweets and drinks, those attending were alerted to the sound of Santa arriving with his sleigh and reindeer parking on the roof. Santa Claus made his way - not down the chimney, which was very much in use - into one of the rooms which had been transformed into a grotto for the occasion. Father Christmas took his time with each and every child, chatting with them and presenting them with gifts, before posing for photos.

All in all, a great festive occasion which delighted everyone in attendance, with special thanks to the staff of the Blackstuff and Cactus for their valued support.
