On Saturday 14 January, the 6th Russian Charity Ball was held at the Cercle Cité in Luxembourg city centre.
The glamorous fundraiser was attended by representatives from the world of the economy, culture and society of both Luxembourg and Russia, including Mr. Timur Bekmambetov, the world famous founder of the "Tournesol" - "Podsolnukh" Foundation, one of the recipients of proceeds from the event.
The guests were treated to a sumptuous meal and an entire evening's entertainment headed by the world famous ensemble of classical music, Forte Trio from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As well as Tournesol, the other charity benefitting from the event was SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde; while the accounts have not yet been finalised for this year's eevnt, the toal raised over the past 5 years was €230,000.
