For the Irish community in Luxembourg, the next couple of months will be very busy with a series of events being planned around St Patrick's Day on 17 March, as well as the centenary commemoration of the 1916 Easter Rising.

The events calendar for the Commemoration/Celebration of the 1916 Easter Rising is as follows:
 
- Saturday 16 April from 10:00-18:00: Hurling & Camogie Tournament (venue TBC)
 
- Wednesday 20 April at 19:30: Lecture by Dr Fearghal McGarry @ EU School, Kirchberg (preceded by music & Irish dancing by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí)
 
- Sunday 24 April at 17:00: Screening of “1916” Documentary film @ Cinémathèque (Ticket reservations at www.luxembourg-ticket.lu)
