A total of 207 Luxembourg scouts and guides and leaders of the two Luxembourg scouting federations, FNEL & LGS, will participate in the 23rd World Scout Jamboree in Japan; the Scouts will travel in 3 groups to Japan, departing between 25 and 28 July.

The Jamboree is the largest scout camp in the world: it is held every four years, normally on a different continent, and is the main point throughout a Scout's career. It is an unforgettable and unparalleled experience, and the Luxembourg delegation is the largest that has ever participated in a jamboree outside Europe.

The Jamboree will host a total of 32,300 scouts from 144 countries; the Scouts will live together and participate in activities and experience other cultures.

Of the Luxembourg delegation, 14 scouts will also have the opportunity to work towards their "Jamboreeporter" badge, by producing interviews, photos, reports (in print and audio) and they maintain their facebook page www.facebook.com/luxembourgcontingent  and a blog at www.jamboreeblogluxembourg.com.
