HRH Grand Duke Jean recently received the Commissioners General of the two scouting movements LGS and FNEL at the Chateau de Fischbach to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the swearing in of the Chief Scout at the Luxembourg City Stadium in front of more than 5,000 members.
The original swearing-in ceremony was held on 28 October 1045. The Lëtzebuerger Guiden a Scouten (LGS) and the Fédération Nationale des Eclaireurs et Eclaireuses du Luxembourg (FNEL) have both been in operation since then.
