Appetite.lu is a new a website where food truck lovers can follow their favorite food trucks in real time on a map, explore what food they serve and where they are going to be next.
On the platform, food trucks share their location, their products and their services, so street-food lovers always find a "bite with appetite". For the official launch on 25 June at 12:00, Appetite.lu, together with the Luxembourg Food Truck Association, is organisig a pop-up event with more than eight food trucks in Dudelange.
Food trucks are the upcoming trend for outdoor eating in this summer. The national food truck scene is growing rapidly, as is the food truck lover community. Hence, it is essential to provide one single platform where food trucks can share their location and food truck lovers can find, like and follow all food trucks.

Founded in Luxembourg by four young street-food lovers from all over Europe (Italy, Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg) and developed in their spare time, appetite.lu is the first platform to show real-time as well as scheduled locations of all food trucks that serve in the Grand Duchy. The aim of appetite.lu is to better connect food truck lovers and food trucks. The platform will allow users to get information about their food trucks and to book them for their private as well as corporate events. As a next step, the appetite team will further improve the platform and develop a mobile application.
Big launch event
The official launch of appetite.lu takes place on Sunday 25 June at 12:00 in Dudelange, in front of the Town hall on the Place de l’Hotel de Ville with the Mayor of Dudelange, Dan Biancalana. The event is kindly supported by the Luxembourg Food Truck Association (www.luxfta.lu) and the City of Dudelange.

Short history of Appetite.lu
Four friends were sitting together and having a beer. Craving for good street food, they wanted to find the closest food truck. But there was no platform for all food trucks in the Grand Duchy. The idea for appetite.lu was born. Now everyone can “Find a bite – with appetite!” Appetite.lu was founded by four young and hungry entrepreneurs in Luxembourg: Walter from Italy, Martin from Germany, Mikkel from Denmark and Thierry from Luxembourg. Their different profiles, from mobile app development, over a PhD in Psychology to financial services, combined with their friendship and passion for food, enable them to work together as an efficient team, while counting on support from the unique international cocktail of Luxembourg residents for a project truly “made in Luxembourg”.
