Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel visited the Lycée des Arts et Métiers (LAM) in Luxembourg to present the future section I that will be taught at the Lycée des Arts et Métiers and at the Lycée technique d'Esch-sur-Alzette starting this year at the Edward Steichen High School in Clervaux.

Section I aims to create digital leaders capable of mastering the creation and application of new technologies and opening up access to higher education.

"We created Section I because there is a double demand,” said the prime minister. “On the one hand it responds perfectly to the demand of the students, many of whom are interested in ICT studies. On the other, there is also a very strong demand from the labour market and companies, where graduates in the fields of new technologies are often lacking".

The prime minister had an exchange with 12th grade students on the challenges that the European Union must and will face. "Never forget that the European Union has enabled our region to live in peace for more than 70 years,” he said, reminding students that the union offers advantages that gives students from other countries cause for envy.
