Twenty 12 to 15 year olds from Luxembourg and Germany were given the opportunity to participate in a language course in the area of Wittlich-Bernkastel, followed by a cultural exchange in Luxembourg.

The project has been running for over twenty years and was organised by the AMIGO meeting centre for young people of the Association de Soutien aux Travailleurs Immigrés (ASTI) as a means for Luxembourg youth to approach the German language in a novel way and in so doing more easily engage with and use it.

On Sunday 29 May 2016, all the participants then gathered at the Cultural Centre in Beggen to close the 2016 edition with an intercultural buffet of culinary specialities and desserts, provided by Luxembourg families as a means of thanking the German host families, representative of the German schools and the administration services of the Wittlich-Bernkastel district for the organisation, accommodation and hospitality of their children.

ASTI announced plans to bring the programme back in 2017.
