From 1 October 2015, students will be able to start a new Master programme in Luxembourg; the company RH Expert has decided to create the HR Academy and to bring out a European Master in Management of Human Resources (private degree).

The students will be at school 2 days a week (Wednesdays and Thursdays) and in the HR department of a company 3 days a week, allowing them to combine theory and practice. The course lessons will be held at the Place de Paris, in the centre of Luxembourg city and the company will look for apprenticeships for the students.

The lessons will be held in French, but the students will also be able to learn Luxembourgish, German and English. The introduction to Luxembourgish and German has as a goal to make the integration of the students in companies in Luxembourg easier; there will also be exams in English.

During the first year, the courses will be more generalist in nature. Classes will be about companies and the competition between them in Europe. There will also be lessons in law and in the Management of Human Resources. In the second year, the students will be able to make a specialisation in Training or in Recruitment.

This Degree is recognised throughout the European Union, due to the compan's admission at the European Federation of Schools (www.fede.org) where all students who do a Master of the FEDE have the same material and sit the same exams. After this degree students will be able to work in the HR department of a company.

The Director explained that they have decided to start this European Master in Management of Human Resources (private degree), because they think that such a master is missing in Luxembourg. For her the problem is that when somebody wants to study Human Resources, he/she has to go abroad and when he/she returns, he/she does not know the specific issues pertaining to Luxembourg. The goal of the HR Academy is to train students to work in Human Resources in Luxembourg.

The HR Academy is not competing with the University of Luxembourg. On the contrary, they want to have a partnership with the University, because the Master does not compete with the courses offered by the University and it would be a good thing for the students who want to study Human Resources after their Bachelor (Diploma after the 3 first years of study).

Another specific issue of the Master is that the courses will be presented from HR Directors from different companies, lawyers and employees of European institutions.

Students who are interested in joining the HR Academy and doing this Master, or companies which are interested in integrating students, can contact the Director Martine LESEIGNE (email: mleseigne@rhexpert.com) or her assistant Thibaud GHIELMINI (email: tghielmini@rhexpert.com).

The next information session is on 4 June. More information and registrations on the website www.hracademy.lu.
