As part of the lecture series entitled "The European Union as a Global International Actor: External Perceptions", the University of Luxembourg will be holding a lecture on Monday 30 May 2016 dedicated to "European Extra-Regionalism in the African Security Context".

Dr. Toni Haastrup, lecture in International Security and Deputy Director of the Global Europe Centre at the University of Kent, has been invited to present the historical context of the relationship between Africa and the EU and the ways in which this relationship has developed as an intrinsic part of the EU's own integration process.

The lecture will take place at 17:00 in room B 001 of the Weicker Building, 4 rue Alphonse Weicker, 2721 Luxembourg-Kirchberg.
