On 17 February 2017, Luxembourg's Minister for Higher Education and Research, Marc Hansen, awarded four scholarships from the Auguste van Werveke-Hanno Foundation were awarded to four postgraduate students of fine arts or architecture. 

This year, the annual scholarships of €5,000 each were awarded to Lynn Klemmer, Yara Stephay, Marco Gonçalves, and Jil Bentz. 

The Auguste van Werveke-Hanno Foundation was created by grand-ducal decree on March 29, 2002 under a will of the late Anita van Werveke in memory of her father, Auguste van Werveke-Hanno, who was professor of drawing at the School of Craftsmen of the State (currently Technical College of Arts and Crafts ) from 1896 until 1920.

The scholarships are awarded to young Luxembourg students pursuing postgraduate studies in architecture or fine arts, especially free arts, advertising / multimedia, interior design / decoration or design, with the selections made on the basis of records, the scholarships being awarded on the basis of academic merit, the advancement of studies and personal productions. 

Since 2003, forty-four students have benefited from the prestigious Fondation Auguste van Werveke-Hanno scholarship. 

Minister Marc Hansen welcomed the dedication of the young laureates who showed a great deal of initiative and creativity in their academic journeys, as well as good academic results, in order to succeed in their professional life.
