On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September 2016, Luxembourg companies will be welcoming the public to take a look behind the scenes for the next edition of "Journées Portes Ouvertes".

The 11th edition was already held earlier this year by the Brain & More communications agency and the September weekend will present another opportunity for companies to showcase their products and services. Business leaders who have taken part in previous editions have cited it as a means of improving the company's overall reputation; ideally positioning their brand; strengthening the geographical location; creating new direct links with future customers and retaining existing clientele, partners and suppliers; valueing the work of collaborators; and strengthening staff motivation and the recruitment of personnel.

More than 176,000 visitors were received during the first ten editions by 232 companie, organisations, institutions, workshops and factories of varying sizes and locations. Several participating enterprises have used the event to recognise an anniversary, whilst Journées Portes Ouvertes can also provide a platform for launching a product or opening a shop or branch.

So far 31 institutions have registered for the event: Administration des Ponts et Chaussées; Bernard-Massard; BIOG-Molkerei; Brasserie Nationale Bofferding; Carosserie Rooemen; CERATIZIT; CFL; Chocolaterie Génaveh; Mertert municipality; Creos; Editpress; Fondation Hôpitaux Robert Schuman; Gold & Wood; Goodyear old Plant; Institut de Formation Sectoriel du Bâtiment (IFSB); Lëtzebuerger Stad Brauerei; Lignatech; Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST); Maison du Lit; Metalica; Moulins de Kleinbettingen; Portes Zens; SIDERO; SOLUM BERTRANGE 1; Stoll Maître Matelassier; Stuff Brauerei; Textilcord Steinfort; Vitralux-Bradtke; Vossloh Cogifer Kihn; WEPRINT; Yolande Coop.
