From 1 June to 4 July 2016, the ground floor of Casino Luxembourg is displaying a video exhibition of the work of Portuguese-born artist Marco Godinho as part of its new "BlackBox" film projection space.

The BlackBox is dedicated to contemporary video and offers a programme of films made by or on a particular artist, ranging in style and theme.

Born in Salvaterra de Magos, Marco Godinho now lives and works in Paris and Luxembourg, exploring subjective experiences of time and space through literature and poetry. Having himself lived between two cultures and languages, his work largely explores issues of exile, experience, memory but also geographical conventions.

Installations, vieos, drawings and participatory projects draw a map of the world where trajectories reflect personal routes and raise the question of multiculturalism.

On Thursday 9 June 2016 at 19:00, the artist will be present for the evening to speak on and discuss the exhibition, curated by Kevin Muhlen.
