Non-profit organisation MedChine will be organising several free-entrance seminars in September on nutrition and fasting.

The first seminar, at 18:30 on 9 September 2015, will represent the second edition of the 'Yin-Yang and Five Elements Nutrition Seminar', which will examine the important role played by nutrition in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its role as one of the three Qi sources. The seminar will aim to move away from western conceptualisations of diets to instead consider food as a medicine, a central pillar to Chinese cuisine.

Other topics will include Pulse Diagnosis, Health Tea Introduction, Suggestion, Taste and Sales. Speakers will include Henriette Bos and Yu Juan. Those interested will need to register before 8 September 2015.

A second seminar, entitled 'Soft Fasting', will promote fasting as a natural health therapy which provides the body with rest and recuperation. Speaker Dr. Yu Juan will explain how fasting can greatly help in the achievement of weight loss, and the recovery from disease and other health effects.

The seminar will take place at 18:30 on 15 September 2015. Those interested in participating are asked to register online at www.medchine.eu before 14 September 2015.
