To raise public awareness of the risk of hepatitis and the importance of taking the prescribed treatments for infection, targeted activities will be organised in Luxembourg on the occasion of World Hepatitis Day on 28 July.

The Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the Luxembourg Institute of Health, the HIV Red Cross of the Luxembourg Red Cross and the CHL, invites the public to its information booth “Eliminate hepatitis!” in front of the station on Friday 28 July 2017 from 13:00 to 16:00. Those interested can learn about hepatitis, but also get screened to know their personal status.

Condoms and flyers will also be distributed to highlight the importance of prevention and early detection.

In addition, experts in the field will be available to answer any questions related to hepatitis. The DIMPS (Mobile Intervention Device for the Promotion of Sexual Health) will also be on site and will offer rapid, free and anonymous screening tests.

Some other activities will be offered, such as graffiti workshops, smoothie tasters for vitamins A, B and C, and a quiz on hepatitis.
