As every year, the Automobile Club Luxembourg (ACL) is participating in the traditional "lights and tyres campaign" which begins this year on 17 October.

To address the winter safely, each driver will be able to check their car's tyres and the lights for free. The technicians of the ACL-Diagnostic Centre will not only check the profile of the tyre, but will inform motorists of the actual status, age, or if its wear is uneven.

NOTE: although the minimum depth of the tyre thread is legally 1.6mm, the ACL recommends, for security reasons, not go below 4 mm. Winter tyres are mandatory in case of winter conditions (ice, packed snow, slush, ice or frost plates) throughout the year.

If everything is in order, the motorist will receive a certificate of inspection for their vehicle.
