On Saturday 21 January 2017, the Arnold Kontz Group opened its new Jaguar Land Rover Sud dealership in the Haneboesch II industrial zone in Niederkorn.

With the official opening not until next Wednesday, the group invited circa 600 people to get an "avant-premier" view of the premises. Spread over a total of 8,000m2, the new premises were decided on in January 2016; it is close to Luxembourg's second city and is in a catchment area of 170,000 inhabitants across 11 municipalities.

2017 is the centenary celebration of the Arnold Kontz Group; in 1917 it started off by selling bicycles. Recently, the group added Land Rover (in 1994), Aston Martin (in 2012), Lotus (in 2015) and Jaguar (in June 2016) - the Niederkorn facility is focusing on just the Land Rover and Jaguar brands.

With 30 people working at the new premises, including 3 in sales and 6 mechanics in the workshop, this brings the total of staff at the Arnold Kontz Group to 156, after 50 new staff were recruite dover the past 12 months.

The new facility includes the car showroom - with space for 6 Jaguars and 6 Land Rovers - a workshop with 11 vehicle bays, a bodyshop including a specicialised spraying chamber, storage, offices for administrative staff, and a roof space large enough for 78 cars (used cars, demo cars, test drive cars, etc.).
