The National Certification and Approval Corporation, in coordination with Luxembourg's Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, has issued a suspension of its full approval for the Porsche Cayenne equipped with the 3.0L TDI diesel engine, 193 kW, Euro 6.

The approval of the emissions for the above model have become invalid, after tests, which are not part of the approval procedure, revealed the presence of a "defeat device".

As a result, the German manufacturer is no longer authorised to produce this variant of the model and until the model in question is brought into line with European regulations.

The suspension of approval does not affect vehicles already issued with a certificate of conformity or vehicles already in circulation, which will however be the subject of a recall action to be initiated, when appropriate, by the Porsche dealer for an upgrade.
