Sunflower Montessori has announced the opening of its latest crèche in Ersange on 4 October 2015.

“We are pleased to see that demand for places is very strong” confided Samantha O’Dea co-founder and Director of Sunflower. The crèche is fully licensed for 30 children aged between 0 and 4 years and the places are quickly filling up.

As a new infrastructure, Ersange is governed by the new Luxembourg law concerning crèches. As such it meets the highest standards of safety and security. “Ersange is Sunflower’s 5th crèche” explained Tom O’Dea, Managing Director. “We are happy to be now able to offer over 300 crèche places in and around Luxembourg city”.

Sunflower, founded in 2001, is a family-owned 100% Luxembourg company. The owners are actively involved in the day-to-day running of the crèches. If something needs to be discussed the owners are available to do so and their interests are first and foremost the education and care of each individual child. This proximity and commitment to quality care and education has been appreciated by the parents who have entrusted their children to Sunflower over the past 14 years.

“The Sunflower team is equally committed to care and education. We know each child is unique and we truly value working with the parents and family to ensure that each child develops to his full potential. We know that parents really value this approach” said Helen Clarke, co-founder and Director of Sunflower.

Ersange is a small village to the East of Luxembourg city on the road to Remich; as such it is ideally situated for working parents commuting from the east of the country to the city. The single-storey charming building has a beautiful garden looking out on rolling countryside. There are 3 groups: a baby group “Daisies” and 2 groups “Orchids” and “Bluebells” for the older children.

Sunflower uses the Montessori pedagogy which the owners truly believe is a wonderful means to help the child realise his full potential. As Dr. Maria Montessori said: “It is the child who makes the man, and no man exists who was not made by the child he once was.” “And this is what we all truly believe at Sunflower and this belief guides us each day” concludes Sam.

Applications are now open for Sunflower, Ersange. Interested parents should reserve their child’s place through our website www.sunflower.lu of by ringing Sandy on tel: 261593-910.
