Sunflower Montessori is currently organising a series of shows involving the older children from four of their five crèches.

On Friday afternoon, the last show was held at the original Sunflower location in Findel which opened in 2001, involving 45 children aged 3-4 years old - across all Sunflower crèches, the toal number number of children is 350 represened by 48 different nationalities.

The children has been studying the life-cycle of a frog and this culminated in the show entitled "Tadpole Rag". Many of the children attending Sunflower Montessori arrive without having English as their mother-tongue; it is quite an achievement therefore for them to be performing a show in English. Many of the children have been with Sunflower Montessori since they were 3+ months old, so for many this is their and their parents' farewell to Sunflower before they move on to primary education elsewhere - into both the Luxembourgish public system as well as private schools - having a strong command of English.

Once the show was finished, the parents were able to socialise together in the sunny garden.

According to Sam O'Dea, Sunflower Director, there are still a few places avaialble in some of the Sunflower crèches for September starts (Findel, Findel-Galileo, Moutfort, Ersange and Bertrange).
