On 6 October 2015, 152 high school students and 12 elementary school students were awarded qualifications as part of the 'Peer Mediation at School' project from SCRIPT and SNJ.

The celebration took place in the presence of Luxembourg Minister for Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, and rewarded 164 students from the schools of Lycée technique Ettelbruck, Lycée Aline Mayrisch Luxembourg, Uelzechtlycée, Lycée Bel-Val, École européenne Kirchberg, Lënster-Lycée, Lycée Vauban, Lycée Robert Schumann, Lycée technique du Centre - Annexe Kirchberg, Lycée Nic Biever Dudelange, Lycée Hubert Clément Esch/Alzette, École privée Sainte-Anne and Grundschule Crauthem/Roeser.

Additionally, 20 adults were trained as project staff, coaches and trainers for the initiative, also receiving their certificate as part of the celebration at the Lycée Nic Biever in Dudelange.

The 'Peer Mediation at School' project was first started in the 1999/2000 academic year, and has since seen 1,168 students trained as mediators as a means of preparing them to search for a peaceful solution in the event of a conflict amongst their fellow students.

The ceremony was also the occasion for the presentation of certificates to participants of the training for student committees, which has been offered for the last decade by the SNJ and the National Students' Conference (CNEL) as a means of supporting members of student councils in their significant function within the school. 227 students have completed the training since it began in 2004/2005 and on Tuesday 18 more certificates were awarded to students from the schools of Lycée technique privé Emile Metz, Lycée Nic Biever Dudelange and Lycée Robert Schuman Luxembourg.

This academic year, the Conférence générale de la jeunesse du Luxembourg (CGJIL) will be responsible for the training of student committees.
