The state of men’s health is in crisis and men are dying too young; sadly, gender is one of the strongest and most consistent predictors of health and life expectancy.

For men, this is bad news. On average, across the world, men die 6 years earlier than women and mental health issues affects more men than women: three quarters of suicides are by men. The World Health Organisation has estimated that 510,000 men die from suicide globally each year. That’s one every minute.

The impact of prostate and testicular cancer on lives is significant, with prostate cancer being the second most common cancer in men worldwide and the number of cases expected to almost double to 1.7 million by 2030 (facts taken from https://uk.movember.com/programs/cause).

Staff at St George’s International School in Luxembourg-Hamm are actively participating in raising funds in support of the cause every year by producing team trailers and videos which go by the name ‘The Movengers II’. This year, The Movengers II have managed to raise a respectable €108 for the Movember Foundation.
