On Sunday 8 May, the International School Luxembourg (ISL) held its 7th annual MayFest, organised by the Parent-Teacher Organisation, in the school's playgrounds.

In scorching temperatures, the community event attracted around 500 hundred people, including schoolchildren and their families - parents and siblings - for an afternoon full of activity.

In addition to the barbecue and and other food stands, plus the drinks stand offering crémant, beers and soft drinks, the organisers had ensured that there was plenty to buy in terms of books and DVDs, etc., as well as charity stands and others focusing on school activities, including the Business Club. The all-weather sports pitch was a hive of activity too, with games being organised and others informally playing in the glorious sunshine. A bouncy castle was kept going all day long for the younger attendees, while sommelier Niels Toase educated many of the adults interested in wines.

The proceeds of the fundraising event will go to support charities identified by the ISL.
