Students at St George’s International School, Luxembourg ASBL have once again achieved excellent results in IGCSE, A/S and A-Level exams, opening the door to further studies at universities worldwide.

A-Level Results
• 100% Pass rate
• 27% of examinations graded A*/A
• 80% of examinations graded A* to C

All 84 A-level entries achieved a passing grade this year, with 27% of examination papers graded A* or A and 80% of examination papers achieving a grade C or above. 14% of all entries received the highest grade possible, an A*, while one of our students achieved A* grades in all of the subjects she studied.

A/S Level Results
• 96% Pass rate
• 65% of examinations graded A/B
• 83% of examinations graded A to C

A/S results improved across the board this year – with 121 examination entries overall A/S level students in Year 12 achieved a 96% pass rate, 65% of examination papers were graded at A or B and 83% of examination papers achieved a grade C or above. Most impressive was the fact that 41% of all entries received the top grade (A). At A/S there is no A* grade available.

IGCSE Results
• 100% Pass rate
• 61% of examinations graded A*/A
• 93% of examinations graded A* to C

223 individual IGCSE examinations were taken in total. The vast majority of students in Year 11 took 10 subjects each with an overall pass rate of 100%, whilst 61% of all examination papers were graded A* or A. One of our students achieved an outstanding result of A* grades in all 12 subjects he took. 95% of our students achieved at least 5 grades from A* to C and 93% of examination papers achieved a grade C or above. These students will now progress on to the next school year (Year 12) where they will study their chosen A/S level subjects.

Mark Fleet (Head of Secondary) said: "Whilst there is always room for further improvement, I am absolutely delighted with the results, particularly I/GCSE where 61% of all examination entries were graded A*/A, almost triple the UK average. This is a just reward to both students and staff for their commitment and hard work. Our A2 results also allowed our graduates to attend the university of their choice and I wish them the very best in their continued studies."

St George’s graduates will be taking up places at the University of Copenhagen, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Exeter, Erasmus University Rotterdam, the University of Groningen, Imperial College London and Plymouth University to name but a few.
