Boni Selection chocolate bars have been recalled after pieces of plastic were found in certain bars.
Luxembourg food safety authorities revealed on Monday that certain banana and praline flavoured versions of the bar, sold through Colruyt supermarkets, have been withdrawn from shelves following the news. The following products have been compromised:
- Milk chocolate banana bar. Lot number: 1604725. Article number: 20109. Sold from 1 February to 24 June 2016, inclusive. Use by date: 15 February or 16 February 2017. Weight: 3 x 46g.
- Milk chocolate praline bar. Lot number: 1604725. Article number: 20103. Sold from 1 February to 24 June 2016, inclusive. Use by date: 15 February 2017. Weight: 3 x 45g.
A statement released by the Ministry of Health explained that only products with the indicated durability dates are concerned and that no problems should be encountered with all other products. They are advising the Luxembourg public to avoid consuming the products listed above.
