On Thursday 8 December 2016, the "Tubaksbuttek" (tobacco shop) of Heintz van Landewyck opened its doors at #19 Avenue Monterey in Luxembourg City, creating an exclusive place dedicated to lovers of high quality local products, in the heart of the capital.

In 1847, the young Jean-Pierre Heintz van Landewyck opened his first tobacco factory on rue de la Porte-Neuve in Luxembourg city. His pioneering spirit and his keen sense of quality naturally inspired his son and successor Jos., 170 years later. Today, it is their descendants who have called for a return to the company's roots with the opening of this shop within the capital of Luxembourg.

The store's layout pays tribute to the roots of this family-run business worldwide. This point of sale has been designed with great attention to detail, specific to the craftsmanship of the Grand Duchy. The showcases with golden accents - the work of the Luxembourgish calligrapher Nico Langehegermann - gave the "Buttek" a distinctive look, immediately visible in the urban landscape dominated by characterless storefronts of large franchises.

Valora is responsible for the operation of this shop, in which a range of traditional local products are offered for sale. Heintz van Landewyck's refined tobacco creations include cigarettes, tobacco and a range of cigars recently enriched with several new products. Spirits and first-class spirits, hot and cold drinks, as well as magazines, newspapers, souveneirs and lottery sales complete the "Buttek" offer.
