On Tuesday 27 December, the German DIY, hardware and gardening store Bauhaus will open its forst store in Luxembourg, in Capellen, and will offer 20 early shoppers each a voucher worth €1,000.
The car-park in the Parc d'activités Capellen will open at 06:00, with the 20 vouchers available to shoppers present during the first hour of opening, courtesy of a raffle. It will be open to people aged 18+ who come with a wheelbarrow (any type will do); their names will be put into a large drum (a concrete mixer) and 20 tickets drawn at 07:00, just as the doors of the new store open. The 20 winners will be able to spend their €1,000 vouchers on the opening day.
The first Bauhaus store in Luxembourg will stock 120,000 different items across 15 different domains in a store of 15,000 m2, including a specialist 3,800m2 drive-in area, with 130 specialist staff.
