Lost something at Frankfurt Hahn, and then forgotten all about it? Now may be the chance to get it back. The airport is auctioning off items that have been sitting in their Lost Property for more than two years, in order to raise funds for the benefit of the Sohre Community Centre.

The auction takes place tomorrow, with a record number of up to 1,000 items up for grabs, including luggage, electronic equipment and games, toys, jewellery and accessories.

"There is practically nothing that is not lost," said Monika Wagner, deputy head of the terminal.

The Meeting point this year is the Bürgerhalle in Sohren, and the auction starts at 12:00 o'clock, thought the items can be viewed from 10:00.

Getting in early is advised, said Wagner, as the auctions tend to be very popular.

As in the previous years, there will again be a large "Kofferstapel", plus lots of handbags and bags, which are unopened as "surprises".
