Following the success of the first edition of a Moselle Region Wine Festival in Vaux near Metz area (more than 4,000 visitors in one day), the organisers are repeating the successful format by organising a follow-up event on Sunday 19 April 2015 in Contz-les-Bains, just across the French border from Schengen, between 11:00 and 18:00.

The event features wine tastings and local produce from the municipality.

The wine-growing village very close to the borders with Luxembourg and Germany will remain closed to traffic to enable pedestrians meet the various Moselle winemakers and their creations from 2014.

More than 60 different wines, including white, red and rosé wines, can be tasted in the presence of winemakers. Local specialties will be available to complement the wines, presented by farmers from the Moselle region.

Wines from neighbouring Luxembourg and German wineries will be represented in the context of cross-border cooperation between the international Moselle wine makers.

Various street entertainment is being organised for the day too, in the streets of the village and in the vineyards of local winemakers.

And the venue of the festival is its beauty quite remarkable, but he is at the foot of the vineyards, under the ledge of the Stromberg and on the banks of the majestic River Moselle.

The event is being co-ordinated by Moselle Tourisme. See www.moselle-tourisme.com  for further details.
