On Sunday 5 June 2016, Danzatelier Saeul will be holding an event dedicated to wellbeing in the form of Planetary Dance.

The Planetary Dance is an annual ritual of healing and community renewal, inviting people from all corners of the world to join in a dance for peace within their community and for the earth more generally. People of all ages and abilities are invited to "dance for a purpose", much in the same way that traditional cultures have danced for a bountiful harvest, a successful hunt or a happy marriage.

The Planetary Dance constitutes a participatory event rather than a theatrical performance and has at its heart the Earth Run, a simple dance that anyone can do. Participants are invited to run, walk or simply stand in a series of concentric circles, creating a moving mandala, a spiritual and ritual symbol representing the universe. In this way, participants will join together against the steady beat of drums and make a platform for prayer and healing.

The theme is "Restor", inspired by initiator of the Healing Dance and founder of Tamalpa Institute, Anna Helprin. The event has been organised alongside Miranda Welter, dancer & scoreographer and tamalpa graduate.

Participants are asked to dress in white or one colour for the dance outdoors and to bring water, food and drink to share, their own cups, plates, forks and spoons and anything else they may need. Everyone is welcome but no alcohol, drugs or pets will be allowed on the sit.

The event will take place from 13:00 to 15:30 at Helperknapp (Boevange/Attert), with an option to join for a potluck afternoon meal. More information can be found at www.danzatelier.lu or by contacting 691 63 80 66, 23 63 80 66 or info@danzatelier.lu.
