The Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) has brought back "Welcome Europe - from Luxembourg City to Schengen, a Saturday guided tour exploring the birth of Europe by bus.

The tour is led by an LCTO guide, tracing Europe's history from the ancient fortress city of Luxembourg as a cradle of the EU to Schengen, a symbol of a Europe without borders. The guide will lead visitors to the birthplace of the "founding father of Europe", Robert Schuman, at the meeting point of three borders on the Moselle.

A guided tour of Schengen will explain everything there is to know about the famous agreement, offering a historical outline as well as breathtaking views.

Until 16 July 2016 inclusive, the tour will leave at 14:00 from in front of the Synagogue at 45, avenue Monterey in Luxembourg City, whilst from 23 July until 24 September 2016, the tour will depart from place de la Constitution, at the same time. Commentary will be given in French, German and English. The return is planned for 17:00.
