Luxembourg’s Ministry of Culture has announced that the online voting of the “Kreativ an d’Feierdeeg” competition has now started.

The "Kreativ an d’Feierdeeg" competition was launched by the Ministry of Culture for the design of year-end greeting cards for the government. A total of 40 designers submitted their projects which were then reviewed by a jury consisting of five members representing the Association des artistes plasticiens de Luxembourg (association of visual artists from Luxembourg), the Centre national de l’audiovisuel (the national audiovisual centre), the Centre des technologies de l’information de l’État (the state’s centre of information technology), the Fonds culturel national (the national cultural fund) and the Ministry of Culture.

The jury chose twelve of the projects and have presented them on https://gd.lu/concours. Here, they are subject to an online vote by the public which is open from Saturday 20 August to Sunday 11 September 2016. The public can vote for their favorite card in the categories "graphic", "painting, drawing, engraving" and "photography". The link to vote is also accessible through the portal of the Ministry of Culture (www.gouvernement.lu/mc)

At the close of the online voting process, the projects that receive the most votes in their respective category will be expected to illustrate year-end greeting cards for the government. The authors of the selected projects will win a prize of €1,500 each.

Each individual participating in the vote can win one of many gifts such as tickets to concerts, theatres and museums, coupons for exhibition tours with lunch, DVDs and more. These gifts are offered by the Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain, the Centre de musiques amplifiées (Rockhal), the Centre national de l’audiovisuel, the Musée d’art moderne Grand-Duc Jean (Mudam), the Salle de concerts Grande-Duchesse Joséphine-Charlotte (Philharmonie) and the Rotondes.

The winners will be determined after the online voting.
