Yesterday, Thursday 25 August 2016, the Journée des Reines took place at Schueberfouer in the early evening as employees were starting to leave their officers and the fairground was gearing up for a busy evening.
The queens and princesses representing Luxembourg wine, the town of Wormeldange and the town of Wiltz, were joined by others, mainly from Germany, including Trier, Bonn and Saarland. Miss Cape Verde was also in the group which totaled no less than 14 Queens and 18 Princesses.
Starting off at the entrance of the Schueberfouer, the young women who were the queens and princesses were wearing impressive dresses and tiaras glistening in the sun, and posed for photographs before lining up for a collective photo on the stairs of the “Happy Sailor” attraction, before embarking on a ride together.
