Make-a-Wish Luxembourg will be holding their annual Gala and Auction on Saturday 12 November 2016 at the Cercle Cité in Luxembourg city centre, where the grand ballroom overlooking Place d'Armes will be transformed into a dazzling Winter Wonderland.
Besides enjoying an unforgettable evening, participants at this Gala charity event will also advance the fulfilment of wishes for children between the ages of 3 and 18 years old with life-threatening medical conditions. Make-A-Wish® grants a child’s dearest wish, and has fulfilled 18 local wishes since their origination in Luxembourg in late 2012.
Special entertainment will add to the whimsical feel of this elegant fantasyland. During the cocktail hour, a harpist’s soothing chords will set a celestial tone as wandering magicians captivate the crowd, while later a sand artist will perform a live wish story in sand. Following a lavish 3-course dinner, the menu created by La Mirabelle’s talented Chef Sébastien Convers, DJ Fab will spin tunes until 02:00. The popular casino will be open (with casino cash provided), specialty cocktails will be available, and a novelty selfie photo booth will add to the fun.
Of course, the real highlight is the lively auction, where fabulous prizes donated by companies and individuals are awarded to the highest bidder, with all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish® for future wishes. Some of the live auction prizes include: A hot air balloon ride, a Bugatti car ride, and a photograph by Christophe Van Biesen. Helping to make the Gala event possible is this year’s platinum sponsor TMF Group, along with Silver sponsor Twenty First Capital and Bronze sponsor Financial Word.
