The opening of Luxembourgish artist and author Jean Delvaux’s latest exhibition, “Shadows of the Sphinx” will take place on 26 October 2016 at the Centre national de littérature in Mersch, starting at 19:30.
In his latest exhibition, Jean Delvaux will present his unique artistic books and works in five different rooms, each dedicated to a different subject. For instance, “The Labyrnth in us” and “You are not supposed to take a picture”. With his unique subjects, the local artist seduces the viewer into strange worlds of cruelty, brutality and oppression.
“Shadows of the Sphinx” is Delvaux’s biggest exhibition so far, in which he encompasses diverse subjects such as dogs, the moon, female figures such as Marilyn Monroe and Wonder Woman, and the four elements.
The exhibition will take place from 27 October 2016 until 3 March 2017 and will be open Monday to Friday, between 9:00 and 17:00.
