The University of Luxembourg has organised an open lecture on the topic of collective bargaining in the EU to take place on 26 January 2017, starting at 12:00.

In the context of the lecture series in European and comparative labour law entitled “Enhancing the European social model” organised by the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg, a lecture on the Right to Collective Bargaining, between the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) will take place at the Kirchberg Campus.

At the lecture, Professor Filip Dorssemont, Professor of Labour Law at the Centre interdisciplinaire Droit, entreprise et société of the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) will discuss the decline of representability of trade unions and the lack of legal certainty for their action in the European Union and illustrate the interactions between the jurisprudence of the CJEU and the ECHR in the field of collective labour law.

The lecture will take place on Kirchberg Campus, in room B001 of Weicker Building, 4, rue Alphonse Weicker, 2721 Luxembourg.

A light lunch will be offered to registered participants.
