Inspired by the Night Shift exhibition of the FORT artists collective at Casino Luxembourg, the musicians of United Instruments of Lucilin, Luxembourg's contemporary music ensemble, are presenting two special performances that seek to explore the subject of an art work by linking it with a musical piece with a similar theme.

The musicians hope to reveal more about the possibilities within the works through musical discovery, perhaps giving a different angle on the exhibition.

Night Shift is the first solo exhibition outside of Germany by the artist duo FORT and was developed especially for the Casino rooms. The two artists who make up FORT, Alberta Niemann and Jenny Kropp, work with everyday objects that they adapt and transfer to the exhibition space. There, for all their supposed familiarity, the objects and settings created often have a subtly surreal character and evoke an eerie atmosphere of emptiness and desolation. Many of the objects shift between poetic and humorous moments and play with the viewer's usual way of seeing things.

In the exhibition Night Shift, FORT explore the theme of night and darkness. The Casino Luxembourg rooms remain dark throughout the exhibition, with only the works shining with their own light, providing some orientation for visitors.
