The DKV Urban Trail 2017 is on track for 30 April, for its seventh year running, promising once more a chance to take in a good run and appreciate Luxembourg’s charms all at the same time.

The seven courses, ranging from 13 to 34 kilometres for single-running or walking adults and 6 to 10 kilometre legs for adult relay teams as well as shorter courses for kids, have been set to challenge runners whatever their level to push their boundaries and meet the varying levels of difficulty head on, but also to showcase some of Luxembourg’s hidden delights, some of them unknown to Luxembourgers themselves.

The race’s popularity has been growing from the get-go, even outside Luxembourg, and last year more than 3,000 runners took part, some from countries far beyond Luxembourg, including Canada, Brazil, Poland, Czech Republic and Bosnia.

Starting from the Plateau of the Holy Spirit, the courses take in Hesperange, running alongside the Alzette with a path that offers sights of the Palais Grand Ducal, the Abbey of Neumünster, the Place d'Armes, the casemates of the Bock, the Three Acorns, Philharmonie, and more in settings that change from cobblestoned streets to dense, green forest, stony steps, commercial districts and the Pétrusse Valley.

Registtration is open until 29 April 2017. For details of the race courses, race fees, further information and registration, see online: https://www.urban-trail.lu
