Luxembourg City’s annual Duck Race is back with a quack for the 16th edition organised by the Luxemburg Round Table for  16th edition on Rue St-Quiirin in the Pétrusse Valley on Saturday 29th April in the Pétrusse valley.

Animations for children and adults will begin at noon, and at 15:00 some 16,000 ducks will be launched in the Pétrusse below the Viaduct. Visitors will be divided into two villages and the race will be played in three heats. Two qualifying heats and a final between the most valiant ducks, notorious for being ultra-competitive. 

The arrival will be at the height of the village, at the entrance of the street Saint-Quirin.

The Luxembourg Round Table has been committed to tolerance, friendship and service in Luxembourg since 1963, and donates the proceeds of the Duck Race to charity. This year, the receipts will be dedicated to "Les petits Nicolas Asbl", "Friendship Luxembourg Asbl" and "Action Avenir Haiti”.

Tickets can be bought in advance for €5 .from pre-sale points at the Luxembourg City Tourist Office in Luxembourg, the Asport points of sale and the Jerry Travel sign in Belval and La Fermette. Tickets are also available online at the Duck Race website (www.duckrace.lu) and by members of the Round Table. The very last opportunity to secure the participation will be the sale on site before the start of the race.

All ducks have a number corresponding to a lottery ticket number, while the "godfathers" of the ducks who cross the finish first will receive one of the many prizes offered by the sponsors such as travel, vouchers, dinners, and more. This year’s first prize is a "Volkswagen Up! Beats Audio ".
